1. What Market Insights is
Market Insights articles are general information about buying and owning property abroad. They are not financial, tax, legal, or mortgage advice, and they do not take account of your circumstances. See the Data Disclaimer.
2. Who writes them
Each article names an author with a role and a short bio, linked from the byline. Mortgage, tax, and legal articles should also name a reviewer when one has checked the piece.
3. Dates
The published date is when the article first went live. The updated date changes only when the editor marks the edit as a real change to the facts. A typo fix does not move that date.
4. Sources and figures
Figures in an article need a source and an as-of date. Sources are listed at the end of the article. We do not publish numbers we cannot point to. Where Estate Atlas calculated a figure, the article says how.
5. Corrections
If a fact is wrong, we correct the article, tick the substantive-update box, and add a short note of what changed.
